Tungurdalur golf course

Golf Club Isafjordur was established in 1943. Its first golf course was on the Skipeyri spit until the area was claimed for the airport construction in 1960. The club was inactive until it was reestablised on May 6th 1978. It was issued land for a three hole golf course in Hnifsdalur and had to move once before its permanent location was found in Valley Tungudalur.

Isafjordur is the capital of the Westfjords. The town is known for its flourishing art and cultural life and many prominent musicians and composers come from here or reside here. Frequent art exhibitions are held throughout the year, attracting many visitors.

Kidjaberg Golf Course

Grafarholt Golf Course

The Grafarholt golf course opened in 1963, which makes it the oldest 18-hole golf course in Iceland. The course is recognized as Iceland´s premier championship venue and has hosted many European and Nordic tournaments.

Leirdalur golf course

Until 1996, only 9 holes for use by members in 1996 but came into use for an additional 9 holes and the course was at least 18 holes. Still further improvements were made in the course of 2002 and most recently have 9 holes in addition to be built in the country Leirdal Kopavogur. Kópavogur part of the course was started in 2007. GKG is the only club that fullgikdur 27 holes. One is 9-hole course, however, and Marsh 18-hole course LEIRDALSVÖLLUR.

Thorlaksvollur golf course

In 1994, the local authorities decided to Þorlákshöfn trying to halt the erosion of the driveway to Þorlákshöfn. There were men prudence dangerous to parallel reclamation was decided to attempt to develop a golf course and grow him up. Damaged from saying that this experiment went well and now is the most elegant Þorlákshöfn one 18-hole golf course land.
